Regardless of the season, Ribe is a particularly vibrant city with many unique experiences, events and arrangements. Here, the half-timbered houses lie closely side by side up the cobbled streets, and in the town’s small restaurants, cafés and specialty shops you will meet the local zealots with their spirit and quirky stories. In the middle of it all stands Ribe Cathedral with its princely towers and beautiful chimes. Here you feel the rush of history all the while Ribe’s story of witches, Vikings, bishops, queens, sailors and other good people is told on your journey around the town.

In the summer, the experiences are almost lined up, and in the winter, the Wadden Sea National Park is a veritable eldorado for nature lovers, with the possibility of guided tours, e.g. “Black Sun”, seal trips and oyster trips with the  talented nature interpreters
