THE DELICACY OF THE WADDEN SEA

Oyster Safari – A Unique Nature Experience!

Imagine walking on the vast seabed of the Wadden Sea, discovering impressive oyster banks as the tide recedes.
An oyster safari in the Wadden Sea National Park – a true World Natural Heritage site and part of the UNESCO World Heritage – offers you a truly special nature experience.
At the extensive oyster banks, you’ll feel a deep connection to nature. Enjoy the silence that surrounds you in the midst of nowhere, and marvel at the unique expanse of sky that makes the Wadden Sea so extraordinary.

Fantastic Tour Providers

Together with the Wadden Sea Center, Mandøpigen, the tractor bus, and other providers, you’ll be accompanied by experienced nature guides who share their passion and knowledge about the fascinating Wadden Sea ecosystem.
An oyster safari is not only an excursion into breathtaking nature but also a social and authentic experience to share with others and remember for a long time. Oyster safaris are available for all age groups, with routes ranging from just 3 km to 10 km. Be sure to book your tickets early, as these tours are often fully booked.

From Seabed to Campfire

Some tour providers also offer a more culinary experience. On selected tours, they demonstrate how to prepare oysters in various ways – such as over an open fire with delicious accompaniments like garlic, pesto, apple, and more. It’s a top-tier taste experience that uniquely combines nature and gastronomy.
